Amboseli National Park

Amboseli is a world-renowned national park located in southern Kenya, near the border with Tanzania. The park is renowned for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, which dominates the horizon and provides a breath-taking backdrop for visitors.

Amboseli is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and wildebeests, as well as over 400 bird species. Visitors can explore the park on game drives, guided walks, or cultural tours, and learn about the Maasai people who have lived in the region for centuries. The park is known for its conservation efforts, which aim to protect and preserve the delicate ecosystem and its inhabitants.

Good walking bases are Elewana Tortilis Camp, the Porini Safari Camps and Angama.
