the natural way to explore wilderness
Walk and sleep for a night or two at a pop-up camp erected just for you. It’s a nice way to combine walking with both the comforts of a the full safari lodge experience and the romance of camping in the wild.
Typically, you leave your belongings in your room at a lodge, and pack just an overnight kit which is transported to the camp by vehicle. The camp will be set up in advance and usually features bucket showers with water heated over the fire, solar lanterns, long drop toilets, and dining by the camp fire.
See page 9 of Walking Safaris of Africa for more infomation about this style of walking safari.
