Northern Frontier

Kenya’s Northern Frontier is known for its rugged and remote landscapes, with vast deserts, rocky hills, and dry riverbeds providing a stunning backdrop for walking safaris and wildlife viewing.

The area is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including rare species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. Visitors can explore the region on game drives, guided walks, or cultural tours, and learn about the fascinating history and culture of the local communities, including the Samburu and Turkana peoples.

Remote’n’Wild specialise in camel-supported walking expeditions in the north, and Laikipia Wilderness also run bespoke trips.
