The Natural Way To Explore Wilderness
Matobo Hills is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southern Zimbabwe, approximately 35km south of the city of Bulawayo. The hills are known for their unique geological formations, including balancing rocks, granite outcrops, and caves that contain ancient rock art. The area is also rich in cultural heritage, with evidence of human settlement dating back over 2,000 years.
For walking safaris, the prime attraction of Matobo Hills is the combination of a stunning landscape and the presence of rhino. It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 200 bird species recorded in the area.
The area can be included in a walks-centred tour of Zimbabwe.
